How We Worship

White Rock Baptist Church is indeed a place where
the people of God gather together to "worship in
spirit and in truth." With a unique blend of
traditional Baptist liturgical forms, worship at White
Rock includes both contemporary and charismatic
expressions as the Holy Spirit continues to move in
the midst. The Holy Spirit in worship is manifested
through the centrality of preaching, prayer and
ministry of song. Through sound theological
exposition, the preaching of the Gospel is truly
inspired by the power of God, unto Salvation. The
preaching moment is complimented as we lift up holy
hands in prayer during "prayer time," that
moment in worship where the saints render prayers of
thanksgiving and praise to God, as well as a time for
quiet meditation and petition for the lost and
bereaved.
Through a variety of spirit filled choirs, we join
together to sing praises unto the Lord allowing
worship to be both exciting and uplifting. The choirs
are the Senior Choir, Inspirational Voices, Melodies
of the Rock (youth choir), Angels of the Rock
(children’s choir). The 32 rank Moller-Letourneau
organ is magnificently settled over the choir loft in
a beautiful red oak case that rests on an independent
steel suspension. The facade showcases the new
horizontal trumpet made of 70% polished tin to produce
a fiery and brilliant sound. This organ is recognized
as one of the best in the world. The organ and pulpit
are complimented by a hand crafted pulpit meticulously
aligned with the custom made baptismal pool. There are
also stage lights that demand attention during the
preaching moment. The pulpit is bedecked on a marble
platform with exquisite pulpit furniture. As the sun
sparkles through the beautiful hand made stain glass
windows and the high vaulted ceiling, it is an
experience that is truly breathtaking and the power of
the Holy Spirit is truly manifested.

"God is Spirit, and those
who worship Him must worship in spirit and in
truth" (John 4:24).
