Girl Scouting at White Rock Baptist Church

Girl Scouts of the USA is the world's pre-eminent organization dedicated solely to girls and White Rock is proud to sponsor four troops encompassing all five levels of the program.

Girl Scouts offers an accepting and nurturing environment, where girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adult volunteers, Girl Scouts cultivate their full individual potential. The qualities they develop in Girl Scouting — leadership, values, social conscience, and conviction about their own self-worth — serve them all their lives.

Girl Scouting is open to all girls ages 5 to 17.

There are five age levels in Girl Scouting:

bulletDaisy Girl Scouts, Kindergarten
bulletBrownie Girl Scouts, 1-3 grade
bulletJunior Girl Scouts, 4-6 grade
bulletCadette Girl Scouts, 6 – 8 grade
bulletSenior Girl Scouts, 9 – 12 grade

The Girl Scout program is girl-driven, reflecting the ever-changing needs and interests of participating girls. It provides girls with a wide variety of opportunities. The program encourages increased skill building and responsibility, and also promotes the development of strong leadership and decision-making skills. All program activities are age-appropriate and based on The Four Program Goals, as well as on the Girl Scout Promise and Law.

If you are interested in volunteering or joining, please contact the church office. For more information on the program, please visit the Pines of Carolina Girl Scout Council Website.

The Girl Scout Promise

On my honor, I will try:
To serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law.

The Girl Scout Law

I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring,
courageous and strong, and
responsible for what I

say and do,
and to
respect myself and others,
respect authority,
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place, and
be a sister to every Girl Scout.
