Home 9 Girl Scouts Ministry

“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”Proverbs 22:6 (NIV)

One of the most powerful results of living the Girl Scout Law is the ability to exercise and recognize true leadership. Being honest and fair, courageous and strong, using resources wisely, respecting yourself and others, and making the world a better place…these are values that our staff and our volunteers on a national and a local level continually teach, model, and reinforce.

Girl Scouts USA is proud to celebrate over 100 years.  Girl Scouting has produced and attracted so many examples of confidence, courage, and character in our girls and the adults who lead them. Girl Scouts USA has grown into the preeminent leadership program for girls in grades K-12, with a membership of over 3.7 million.  White Rock Troop 1581 covers all levels of Scouting and is open to girls in grades K-12.

The troop year begins on October 1st and runs until the following September 31st. Annual membership is $15 and financial aid is available. You do not have to be a member of White Rock to join one of our troops. Our members attend over 30 local schools and are active in a wide variety of activities. Girl Scouts is dedicated to every girl, everywhere.

The 2019 Girl Scouts Cookie Sale will begin on January 12. This year’s theme is Inspire, Image, Innovate. The members of Troop 1581 are working to raise money to go camping in the spring. Troop members will begin taking orders on the 12th and will be delivering orders shortly thereafter. They will also be selling cookies after church during the month of February until supplies run out.  Cookies will be $4/box, and we will offer nine varieties including a new gluten free Caramel Chocolate Chip cookie. We will be able to accept Visa and MasterCard or cash (no checks please).
