Child Development Center

Curriculum Statement

The White Rock Child Development Center is a place where each child can grow and learn at his or her own pace while enjoying the challenges, responsibilities and academic achievements that come with learning.

Our focus is on activity-based learning.  Our curriculum centers around a growing child’s need for learning while doing.  Children will encounter an environment that stimulates problem-solving, develops pre-reading and reading readiness skills and explores math and science concepts as they make Jell-O, look at bugs or discuss their creative art design they made with their hands.  Our preschoolers will enjoy and learn from computers, cooking, excellent books, field trips, volunteers, parents and each other.  Of course, music, poetry, creative movement and other special activities will be a part of the entire curriculum.

Our center staff specializes in individualized attention, one-on-one intervention, compassion and human dignity.  An environment rich in love and care helps your child soar in positive self-esteem and confidence.  We believe that if a child experiences the best there is to offer every day, he or she will be more than ready to meet the challenges that lie ahead.
