MAY IS VISITATION MONTH AT WRBC! Everyone is encouraged to call or visit persons on the sick and shut-in or bereavement list. Special recognition will be given to individuals who turn in the most visitation forms (available inthe Church Office). See the back of the church newsletter for names to contact. ATTENTION GRADUATES! Please submit your graduation information to the Church Office. Be sure to include graduation date, school, diploma, degree, honors, etc. Also, submit a picture for the newsletter. The FAMILY LIFE CONFERENCE Committee is planning a day of learning and merrymaking on Saturday, May 24. This one-day challenging event will address everyone (married couples, singles, young adults, and teens) who believes we are ready for change. More details will follow in the coming weeks. The WRBC BEREAVEMENT MINISTRY will present Dr. Edward E. Moody, Chair of the Department of Counseling at NCCU and author of "First Aid for Emotional Hurts", at the May 27 meeting of the Shepard-Williams-Womack Mission Circle. Mr. Moody will discuss "Dealing With Grief, Trauma and Loss" from a biblical perspective in his role as a pastor. A special thanks to Rev. Thelma Battle, Mission Circle President, for agreeing to host Dr. Moody and to Dr. Barnetta White for recommending him. Min. Anita Hammond
AN AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY RELAY FOR LIFE TEAM is still in need of team members. You do not have to run at all, just walk as little or as much as you would like on th day of relay (May 31). Of course, we need each team member to raise money to help find a cure for cancer. A sign-in sheet and other information is in the Relay mailbox in the Library or contact Helen Featherson or Kimberly Sherrill.
WRBC ENRICHMENT SUMMER CAMP
(grades 2-7) is June 9-27. We are seeking teachers and volunteers. If you are interested, contact Deacon Earle Manhertz at 490-0483 or by email at kcjm4@msn.com or call the Church Office at 688-8136. The cost is $100.00/week. Registration fee is $10. There is a 20% discount for additional children int he same family. We welcome donations of any amount to sponsor a child. Applications are available in the Church Office or see Seacon Manhertz.
Journey with us at VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL this year on "The Ultimate Biblical Trek." 1 Peter 3:15 says that we are to "...be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you...". Come and learn what it means to be a defender of your faith. The children will embard upon a tour of the seven C's of history: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Comsummation. The teens and adults will study Apologetics to become proficient at defending their Christian faith. Set aside June 23-27, 6:00 - 8:00 PM to take part in this dynamic study. The 2008 PRAYER RETREAT is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, October 3-4. Make plans now to attend our eithth annual retreat. The cost this year is $120. If you want to begin making payments now, please do so through the Church Office. Questions? Contact Eloise Jordan at 957-8345.

The OUTREACH MINISTRY is looking for individuals to join a new evangelism team to help us take advantage of some unique non-traditional evangelistic opportunities. The FAITH AND FITNESS EXERCISE CLASS meets each Monday evening at 7:00 in the Fellowship Hall. Bring your weights, large towel or pad and join us for an hour of fun, exercise and low-impact aerobics. Meredythe Holmes
DON'F FORGET to drop your change (bills are welcome) in the Change for Children jars located in the various hallways. Money collected is used to help purchase school supplies and clothing items for needy children at WG Pearson Elementary School and to pay for field trips for children who would not othrwise be able to go.
